Did you know?

The College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences (CHABBS) offers VSAR 331, a course exploring the relationships between art, science and technology? Well, now you do! This course delves into a series of lectures and laboratory works that revisits practices and techniques, developed by art-practicing scientists, from centuries ago. Above is an image of hanging cyanotypes--a photographic printing process that results in a cyan-blue print. Other innovative practices, such as collecting and visualizing data, building hand-held cameras, and creating paint from scratch, are available to the class. If you are curious about the history of art and what defines art, sign up for VSAR 331!
