Xingona Festival

M.E.Ch.A (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán) de CSUSM and Associated Students Incorporated, Gender Equity Center, put together an event to celebrate the art, history, and stories of resilience from Xingona artists. Showcasing the powerful works of local Xingona artists, students became interested in learning more about the art of the 21st century Xicanas, and were inspired to showcase their stories of resistance.

Our officers and fellow students wholly enjoyed the event! It was an enriching learning experience, as well as an opportunity for social engagement. So much of the university's values are embedded and exhibited by our student leaders. We hope to see many more artistically cultural events that will further empower and engage our students!
