Student Sculpture Installation
Outside of the Arts Building is a pop-up art installation with sculptural works made from wire mesh and recyclable materials. Under the guidance of one of the art instructors, Sandra Wascher, sculpture students created nine unique animals, that are dependent on the resources and habitats provided by the oceans. In an effort to address how human-made waste impact the lives of sea animals and marine birds, Sustainability and Associated Students Incorporated collaborated with these students by donating the materials used to create the sculptures. The installation is visible to the public and encourages students to think about their waste habits and management.
