FALL 2019 CLUB EVENTS
Staircase Exhibition will be tabling at Juncture, a student-based art exhibition, co-curated by two of our very own members! Come to the opening reception to visit the gallery space, meet the artists, and see a live performance show!
Meet Siobhan Arnold, an accomplished photographer and lecturer, Art Media & Design at California State University San Marcos. Professor Arnold has exhibited her works in several art galleries and showings, featuring photographs, cyanotypes, embroideries, and detailed illustrations, exploring themes of feminism and the female body.
Meet Rizzhel Javier, a San Diego based artist and educator. Her work explores topics in identity, memory, culture and human relationships. As a first generation Filipino-American, Rizzhel uses her art practice to dissect her identity, and that of the larger Filipino-American community through the research and creation of art projects. Her art is grounded in social practice, with the intent to engage the public and build a dialogue on topics that are often difficult to discuss or understand. For Rizzhel art is a way for people to build communication skills and a sense of community.
